Meet Natalie Luevano. Natalie is the owner of Natalie’s Dream Skin located in sunny San Antonio, Texas. With three years of dedicated experience in the beauty industry, Natalie is passionate about helping clients achieve their skin goals. Inspired by her own skin journey, she opened Natalie’s Dream Skin to help provide her clients the knowledge they need to take care of their skin. As a mother of two, Natalie understands the importance of balance and strives to create a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for her clients. Specializing in Brazilian waxing, Natalie is committed to delivering exceptional results and boosting client confidence.

How long have you been in the beauty industry?

3 years 

What inspired you to become an esthetician?

As cliche as it sounds, what inspired me to become an esthetician was wanting to help people understand their skin better. I also wanted to help myself at the time - I had bad acne and wanted to educate myself on skincare.

Why did you decide to start your own business?

I decided to start my own business because with being a mother of two, I needed flexibility. I also wanted to be my own boss.

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced while running your own business? How do you cope?

The biggest challenge I've faced while running my business was trying to start a business in the beginning of a pandemic. I finished school right when the pandemic started, so as soon as I was able to start my business I did. I really motivated myself to keep going by telling myself “I didn’t come this far just to come this far”

 

What's your favorite service to perform and why?

Brazilian waxes. Brazilians are my favorite service to perform because I love the confidence it gives my clients.

What is one business tool that you can't live without?

The tool I can’t live without is social media, specifically Instagram. I have gained so many clients from Instagram. I communicate mainly with my clients through there.

How and when did you discover Bushbalm Skincare? Why did you decide to carry us?

I discovered Bushbalm through a Facebook esthetician group. I choose to carry Bushbalm because I like the ingredients & price point. I wanted to carry aftercare I knew my clientele would be able to afford.

Which Bushbalm product is most popular at your salon? Why do you think that is?

The product that is most popular is the dark spot scrub. I feel like naturally people struggle with dark spots in intimate areas, so while also preventing ingrowns, why not fight those dark spots!

What do you enjoy most about the Bushbalm Pro community?

What I enjoy the most about the Bushbalm community is that a lot of the people in the community are estheticians. I went to the San Antonio event Bushbalm did for the release of Roller Rescue and it was so nice getting to know everyone and hearing their experiences in the industry.

What advice would you give to new estheticians entering the field right now?

The advice I would give new estheticians is to not compare themselves to others, everyone’s journey is different.
