How long have you been in the beauty industry?

17 years!

What made you want to become an esthetician?

I always had a passion for popping pimples and thought it would be fun and interesting to get into esthetics.

Why did you decide to start your own business?

After working for big chains for several years, I felt as though I didn’t have enough time to educate my clients on proper skin care. I have a true passion for education, so I created my own business so I could create an informative experience for my clients.

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced while running your own business?

The biggest challenge I’ve faced is turn over within my business when it comes to my estheticians. It’s been tough because a lot of girls have come to my business to learn and gain knowledge, but then they leave to do their own thing.

What is your favorite service to perform and why?

Brazilians are my favorite service to perform because I love how technical it is as well as how if done right, it can be done quickly.

What is one business tool that you can't live without?

Wax and social media

How and when did you discover Bushbalm Skincare?

Bushbalm reached out to me via social media and introduced me to their products. I connected with Kiana and then met her at IECSC in West Palm Beach in 2022.

What is the most popular Bushbalm product at your location?

The Dark Spot Pina Colada Oil

What do you enjoy most about the Bushbalm Wholesale community?

I love Bushbalm’s price point as well as the education they provide.

What is one word of advice you would give to new estheticians entering the field right now?

Enjoy the slow days because once you put time and effort into your business and become successful,  there’s never a slow day.
