Amara is a Licensed Esthetician located in Raleigh, NC who's passionate about all things brows and body waxing.

 

 

 

How long have you been in the beauty industry?

Since 2014 so ten years next year!

 

What made you want to become an esthetician? 

I enjoy making people feel their best self!

 

Why did you decide to start your own business?

I call myself a jack of all trades. I wanted to be able to offer all services, in my own way. And help create a safe, fun, uplifting environment for my clients.

 

What is your favorite service to perform and why? 

Brow services & body waxing. Brows are extremely intricate and differ in so many ways from person to person and deliver a huge confidence boost. Full body waxing is quick, easy, and beneficial!

 

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced while running your own business? 

Running it all on my own while balancing out family time & business operations.

 

What is one business tool that you can't live without?

My booking systems! Keeping all of my clients organized with all of their information and service requests.

How and when did you discover Bushbalm Skincare?

Through professional groups on FB when I was first starting on my own, I wanted products that were pH balanced and safe for all of my current & potential clients.

What is one word of advice you would give to new estheticians entering the field right now?

Take it slow. Map it out. Believe in yourself. One step at a time.
